Diameter 21.5mm.  *  ANDREW· PASHLEY·  AT · YE BVLL around bull standing left, an open mouth above.  R. * AND· MOVTH· IN· BLOOMSBVRY  around; in centre HIS HALFE PENNY .:*:. in four lines.   BW (London) 360; Norweb 8001 (same dies). *Good Fine*.  *US customers please note that this is strict British grading.

Until fairly recent times the Bull & Mouth was at 31 Bloomsbury Way (formerly Hart Street). St George, Bloomsbury, London. It became a Chinese noodle bar, which has since closed.  Williamson says that the name may be a corruption of 'bowl and mouth'.
