Christopher R Wren. Self-published, Herne Bay, Kent 1st edition, 1995. PB 189 pages. Illustrated throughout with good line drawings. 147 x 210mm. Spine a little faded, otherwise a very good clean copy, almost as new. There is no difference in the text between this and the latest Spink reprint.
This is a deservedly popular guide, among both metal detectorists and collectors, many of whom find it deservedly useful. The line drawings are slightly exaggerated, but for many, they tend to distil the essence of the features rather than distort them. They are also full of useful information, there are, also, errors, but their usefulness certainly outweighs those.
