Roman Coins and their Values. Volume II. Nerva to the end of the Severan dynasty. 96 - 235 AD.

David R Sear. Published by Spink & Son Ltd, London. 2002.  HB (dark blue cloth with gilt-titled spine).  696 pages. Well illustrated throughout the text with good b&w photographs.  135 x 215mm.  ISBN 1902040457  New.

This trusted series began in 1936 with a paperback listing of coins for sale compiled by B A Seaby.  Various people, especially David Sear, have since revised, improved and repriced the various editions.

This is the second of the new editions which are a radical departure from the previous ones. This volume has a much-expanded coverage of the imperial series, and the billon and bronze series of Alexandria are also well represented.  Prices are given for two grades in both US$ and GB£ throughout and three grades for imperial bronzes.
