29 Sep, 2010. DNW 89. British Coin.

1171 lots. 204 x 296mm.  This auction begins with the first part the collection of the late Alfred Bole, which is probably the best collection of sixpences ever formed: including regular issues, Civil War emergency issues, trials, patterns, proofs, and off-metal strikes.   (422 lots).  Then follow various other properties: British hammered and milled coins.  Hammered and milled gold includes a Sovereign of Henry VIII, a ryal of Elizabeth I, and an Oxford unite of Charles I. Milled crowns are well-represented, including patterns, proofs, trials and the like.  There is a group of 17th century counterfeits of halfcrowns and shillings, countermarked dollars, Irish coins, and much more.

More or less as new.
