This book describes the contents of the display cases in the old coin room. The cases held coins, medals and currency of descriptions of all periods organised on a chronological and basis. The contents of each of the 6 sections are described in a short essay intended for an intelligent person who wanted to learn about the coins and their development. A most useful book despite the fact that the displays are no longer there. It may be old and cheap, but if you want background reading this is good.
