The 1868 Kelly's directory gives their office address as 26 Ann Street.
A report of the commissioners for child labour of 1864 says: these works are in a rural district, in which are two or three other factories, viz. iron works, rolling mills, and a factory, formerly a soap works, but now closed. There is ample space and air. The nails are cut by a machine out of red-hot plates of iron.
