Charles H. Lester was a theatrical manager of 9 Kinnaird Street, Dundee. In 1909 he appeared in the Empire Theatre, Dundee, in the drama “The Bank of England,” in the role of Sherlock Holmes. By 1915 the show had reached Merthyr Tydfil.
Another role was as John Harker with his 'baby detective' in a play called 'A Life for a Life'.
'The Frontier Queen' was yet another show in which he acted.
He took part in a number of countrywide touring theatre productions during the period 1906-1915.
