English square (area) measures, measures of capacity, Wine measures, corn measures. Dry and liquid Roman, Greek and Jewish measures of capacity ‘translated’ into English measures. English Troy weight, etc.

Good, or better. Binding tight. light tan half calf and old (original?) marbled paper covers on stout boards. Professionally rebacked in the 1980s with raised bands with neat gilt-lettered burgundy labels. Edges worn. Some foxing, particularly the first dozen pages. With the bookplate of Bernard Coorlander. First editions of this book are rare.
