George III (1760-1820), Bank of England Dollar. of 5 Shillings, 1804.


Silver, diameter 40.8mm.  Wt. 26.8 gm.  GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX.   His laureate and draped bust right; C H K (for Conrad Heinrich Kuchler) on truncation.  R. BANK OF ENGLAND around Britannia seated left holding an olive branch, her left hand a spear her arm resting on shield, a small K to the left of the shield, around her, within a crowned oval band FIVE SHILLINGS DOLLAR, 1804 below.  Bull 1929.  Davis 16.  ESC. 148; S. 3766.  Rare; Traces of under type visible on reverse and edge. Very fine with a light bluish old oak cabinet toning.
