This the first volume in the planned great numismatic corpus of Viking Age coins found in Sweden, and contains 20 Gotland hoards. The catalogue is arranged as a table with each coin listed individual data, such as weight, diameter, die axis, any damage etc. There are references to archival sources and literature and the find spots are shown on detailed maps.
The hoards are mainly English, Kufic, German and  Low Countries material.

This carries on the work of Br. Emil Hildebrand, and Carl Johan Tornberg.
