Casey, John; and Richard Reece (contributing eds)
Seaby, London, 2nd revised and expanded, 1988. HB maroon cloth with gilt titling on spine. ix + 306pp + 8 Plates. 150 x 234mm. Numerous line drawings and maps in text. This volume of papers was the result of a two day discussion on coins and archaeology held at the Institute of Archaeology, London in 1973. In response to the demand for a reprint revisions were made to some of the papers which brought them up to date, and a new paper by Michael King, on Roman Coins from Early Anglo-Saxon contexts, extending the work of S. Rigold and bringing up to date the available information on Anglo-Saxon access to Roman coinage, added. Authors include: J Collis, Anne S Robertson, Peter Curnow, George Boon, John Kent, S E Rigold, Michael King, D M Metcalfe, Michael Dolley and Marion M Archibald.
A nice clean copy, complete with a very good dw, scarce and a desirable work on the subject.
