Brooke, George C
Methuen, London, 1932 1st edition. xii + 289 pages + 64 collotype plates
An historical survey of the english coinage along with a detailed description of the coins. One of the best introductions to the subject for the beginner, and a source of information even for the advanced collector. Describes the coinage of England from A.D. 600 to the 1950s, the treatment of modern coins, i.e., post Charles I, however, is very brief.
Top edge gilt. Paper edges a little spotty, contents very good.
