3rd series, Volume VII. 1911 Brown HB cloth, with printed paper label (as issued, i.e. no d/j). xxix + 392 pages + 16 plates.  Numerous b/w drawings and photographs.  170 x 222mm.  Articles of numismatic interest in this volume include: Catalogue of Seals at Durham Part I Private seals, by Rev. Wm Greenwell annotated, etc., by C Hunter Blair.  (92 pages + 9 plates).

Edges of spine rather worn, knocks to corners and edges. Cover slightly grubby. Front hinge repaired, end papers foxed, though internally clean.  Two book plates of well-known numismatists on the front pastedown.

The Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle upon Tyne is the country’s oldest provincial antiquarian society, founded in 1813.  For almost two centuries, through meetings and publications, the Society has encouraged a deeper understanding of the history and archaeology of north-eastern England.
