W Wirgin. 1966 PB 44pp USA.
The author of this work was faced with a most intriguing problem. A lot of these pieces were overstruck on earlier issues, mostly those of Mark Antony and Augustus. But the weights of those of Harian were not consistent with what might be expected. Exactly what had gone on ? There was also the difficulty in relying on basing conclusions on just the 44 specimens in the British Museum. The rest of the story is in the book.
A nice clean example.
