As well as being grocers, C & R Willoughby were wine and spirit merchants, as were Griffith and Gough, and William Gerard; William Sparks was also a grocer. Henry Ryall was a tallow chandler among several other occupations. Jane Sinkins, widowed in 1811, was a draper who continued in business for several decades after the token was issued and in 1822 had two premises. Her daughter, Sarah was a milliner and habit maker nearby.
