PROOF SET 1964. 4 coins: Alum. 1 fils, Æ 5 fils, Cu-Ni 25 and 50 fils. KM 1 - 4. The 5 fils has an attractive rainbow toning, the Cu-Ni and aluminium coins are Brilliant Uncirculated. In the original RM case of issue and its cardboard wrapping.

The obverse on all four coins depicts a stylised 8-pointed flower design from an ancient Arabic coin Above and below الجنوب العربي and SOUTH ARABIA R. The reverses of the 1 and 5 fils have crossed curved Arab daggers; the 25 and 50 fils depict a sailing dhow.

Struck by the UK Royal Mint. Designs by T H Paget OBE, (1893-1974). He worked for the Royal Mint from 1936 to 1970.
