Spink 157 English coins, especially proofs and patterns.

15 November 2001, 168 lots, 44 pages.  A collection of English gold coins.  A small collection of halfcrowns. A selection of patterns, proofs and trials. Some pieces of the highest rarity and in superb condition.  Begins with a proof guinea of 1702.  A 'three Graces' pattern crown struck in gold. A wonderful choice of pattern and proof florins and shillings of Victoria. Pattern pennies by Joseph Moore. Smith's pattern decimal coins. The sale ended with a 1936 proof or pattern £2 of Edward VIII, never before offered for sale at auction and believed to be one of only two known pieces.  Cover a little stained and shows signs of handling, internally as new.

Depictions of books (and coins) are unretouched images of the actual item offered for sale.
