This is a study of the Venetian coinage issued in medieval Greece. Contents: The Introduction of the Tornesello, Minting and Distribution, Finds of Torneselli, Weight Standards, Fineness, Volume of Production, Accounting Systems Based on the Tornesello, The Value of the Tornesello, and Coin Production and Inflation. There are several appendices, including one on exchange rates of the Torneselli to the Ducat.
