Third issue.  By Thomas Falconer. CAROLVS· D:G· MAGN· BRITAN· FRANC· ET· HIB · REX  F  Crowned and draped bust left just breaking inner circle at top and bottom; value XII behind head, inner beaded circle legend and outer beaded circles surrounding both sides, lozenge stops. Obverse legend commencing with initial mark thistle. 
R. QVÆ· DEVS· CONIVNXIT· NEMO· SEPARET· Crowned arms, Crowned C R at sides.   Burns 42 fig.1020; S.5561). Attractive blue to gold rainbow toning, and bold Good Very fine.  Diameter 31.3mm. Weight 5.84 gms = 90.1 grains.
