His draped bust almost facing, above, below: INSTALLED LORD RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW JANY. 11 1837   C.f BHM 1749, Eimer 1291.  This is an example of an en electrotype that went wrong in the manufacture.  VF but stained and pitted.

Sir Robert Peel, second Baronet (1788-1850), eldest son of Sir Robert Peel, first Baronet, educated at Harrow and Christ Church, Oxford. Peel was Undersecretary for war and the colonies under Lord Liverpool between 1810 and 1812. Between 1812 and 1818, he was Chief secretary for Ireland when he opposed Catholic emancipation.
