These were made before 1965 for a Yorkshire resort, the mock Treasure Island in Scarborough Mere. They were buried on the beach or children to find. They were valuable finds as they could be used to buy icecream and soft drinks. (G Teasdill, Seaby Bulletin August 1968, page 277).
