A Dictionary of Roman Coins, Republican and Imperial.

Seth W Stevenson, revised by C Roach Smith and completed by F W Madden.  Published by B A Seaby, London, 1964 reprint of the 1889 edition. HB (Red cloth with gilt-lettered spine) 37 pages.  148 x 238mm. A mine of information. The most comprehensive dictionary of Roman coin types, legends, persons, emperors, and the like ever published as a single volume.  Much of the information here is not easily found elsewhere.  Illustrated with upwards of 700 line engravings which illustrate most types as well as the entries for the emperor and members of his family.  The d/j a little frayed at the edges, top a little dusty, otherwise a nice VG clean copy, with the contents almost as new.
This work has been popular for more than a century and is still an indispensable reference work for students, researchers and collectors of Roman coins.

Repriced.  Was £55, now £35.  We have several copies in stock.
