Brass. Uniface.  Diameter  28.3mm   BOUSFIELD BROS / BIRMINGHAM above and below ONE / SHILLING in the centre of the flan. The letters of Shilling are 5mm tall.  Whitmore 603.  (Galata Printed the plates for this work)      Dark toned, Good Fine.  There were two other shilling tokens issued by Bousfield Bros and others of 1/6, 2, 3 and 10 shillings. This is one of the scarcer ones.  Bousfield Bros are listed in Kelly's 1904 directory as being at Smithfield vegetable market & Dean Street.
