This token is from the 1930s or earlier.  'The Fruit Grower Directory & Handbook' 1925 lists Hickman &  Co., Fruit growers of Hall Marsh Farm, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. They also had farms at Leverington, Wisbech, and Tydd St. Giles, Cambs. The present Hall Marsh farm is a Butterfly and wild life park.

Long Sutton is a market town in the Lincolnshire Fens 13 miles east from Spalding and close to the borders of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.  It has a population of ca  5,000 and is a thriving, vibrant community. Its Friday market dates back to the early 13th century. Its main industry now is a Fray Bentos factory producing pies.  It has been judged as one of the best-kept villages in Lincolnshire, and twice been named as the best small town in the East Midlands in Bloom competition.
