Silver drachm, diameter 14.3mm. Weight 2.25 grams. Bust of Viradaman right, with corrupted Greek legend (Indo-Greek style), date in Brahmi numerals behind. R. Three-arched hill with crescent moon and sun at sides, river below, Brahmi inscription around 'Rajno Mahaksatrapasa Damasenasaputrasa Rajnah ksatrapasa Viradamnah.' Some horn-silver and rust, otherwise fair to Good Fine. Date missing.
The Western Satraps, (35-405 AD) were Saka rulers of the western and central part of India (modern Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh states). They were contemporaneous with the Kushans and the Satavahana (Andhra).
