J. Salmon & Son was a Jewish Company with 70 branches in the London Suburbs and the country. Established in the 1840s, they grew and sold all manner of food and household products from matches to furniture and crockery. In 1934 they published a HB book which was a Diary, a list of Household Hints, and a price list of the products that one could order. They issued a series of dividend tokens for 1d, 3d, 6d, 9d, 1s, 2s, 2/6, 5s 10/- and 20/- each value had a different shape. The company was liquidated in 1941. It was bought by Timothy Whites & Taylors Ltd. In January 1944, and finally closed in October 1944.
