Lot of three (3) dividend tokens. Brass 1 penny, brass 3d and Æ 10/-
Each is 22mm in diameter. All have the same obverse legend. ·GARLICK’S· CASH STORES HESKETH BANK in 4 lines, with the denomination in the centre. All have the same reverse, a beaded border with an 11.5mm diameter inner circle.
These tokens are from a small hoard. All are VF or better, some even have original lustre, but all have some staining. The three tokens illustrated are the worst of the batch. The chances are that you will get better.
Hesketh Bank is a small agricultural village in Lancashire, north-east of Southport. The population of the civil parish of Hesketh-with- Becconsall in 2011 was 4,041.
