Thrace, Lysimachus, 323-281 BC. Posthumous issue. Silver tetradrachm

Silver, 32mm diameter, weight 16.83 grams. Head of the deifed Alexander the Great right.  Rv. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left holding figure of Nike, monograms to left and below.  The monograms not listed in Müller —; Weber —; Grose/McCen —; Hunter —; Copenhagen —.  Large flan. Obverse a little off-centre, but the bold portrait in high relief is well clear of the edges. A pleasing glossy bluish tone. Some light scratches on the high points, otherwise Very Fine, or slightly better.
